Patagonia is one of the greatest companies. "Humanity currently uses natural resources 1.4 times the rate at which the earth can restore them. 'The main thing is that we’re trying to get people to wake up, and we have a lot of loyal customers who appreciate our willingness to initiate dialogue like this,' he says. 'We want to challenge other businesses, too. The fundamental assumption that we can continue on a growth economy is flawed in the long term. We need to start talking about what we are going to do about it."

This was done by the agency Wieden + Kennedy for the release of Jordan Melo's shoe. Such an inspired idea, walking on water.

The world is hitting 7 billion people next week!

National Geographic put together the most typical person. I think it's so cool, probably just my planner brain nerdness!

I vaguely recall memorizing this for class in middle school. It was well beyond my years then, true romantic at heart it appears. I just love this poem- it flows so beautifully.

Colorado Lottery Immortal Cash

Yesterday the commercial launched for the immortal cash campaign. The Colorado Lottery came out with a new scratch ticket, featuring a vampire. This is the very first campaign that I was able to work on at Cactus Marketing. I helped formulate insights in the the target audience. This entailed hours of research on twilight, twilight moms, vampire culture and everything in between. We ultimately changed the Lottery's mind on who  their target was- being twimoms. I was able to be a part of the strategic planning, the creative review meetings, and the actual commercial production. Everyone at Cactus is so talented and I'm really proud of all the work! Love Cactus, love my job.

I love Soccer

This is in Minneapolis and features Caribou Coffee's new hot breakfast sandwiches. The coils are actually warming, how great is that.





IKEA:
I love IKEA. Apparently they've done these bus-shelter furniture set ups all over the place for quite some time- never knew. Very cute. 

  



Fitness First:
A bus stop scale, haha! This is in the Netherlands. I bet this would cause too much controversy in the U.S., except we need it here. Too funny- I wonder though if this was effective in driving foot traffic to their gym?
